Clear terms for straightforward work

These terms explain how LJ Plumbing & Heating works with you — from first enquiry to finished job. By booking work with us you agree to them. They do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Quotes and estimates

• Quotes are based on the information you give us and, where needed, an inspection of the job.
• If the work turns out to be different from what was described — for example a hidden fault is found — we will explain the change and agree any revised price with you before doing extra chargeable work.
• Quotes are valid for 30 days unless we say otherwise.

Appointments

• We aim to arrive when we say we will, and we will contact you promptly if we are delayed.
• If you need to cancel or rearrange, please give us as much notice as you can.

Carrying out the work

• All work is carried out with reasonable skill and care, as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
• Gas work is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
• We are fully insured for domestic plumbing and heating work.
• Parts and appliances we supply are covered by any manufacturer's warranty that applies to them.

Payment

Unless we agree otherwise in writing, payment is due on completion of the work. For larger jobs we may agree staged payments with you in advance.

If something goes wrong

Tell us as soon as possible and we will aim to put it right. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. We are not responsible for pre-existing faults or damage unrelated to our work.

The information on this website is provided in good faith as a general description of our services. It may change from time to time and does not form part of any contract.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
