What happens when you book us.
If your home stores hot water in a cylinder, faults show up as lukewarm water, a tripping immersion heater, noise during heating, or water where it shouldn't be. We work on both types: traditional vented cylinders fed from a loft tank, and mains-pressure unvented cylinders — which store water under pressure and must only be installed and maintained by qualified engineers.

The water is lukewarm — do I need a new cylinder?
Often not. Failed immersion heaters, thermostats and motorised valves are the usual causes and all repairable. We diagnose before quoting for anything larger.
What's the advantage of an unvented cylinder?
Mains-pressure hot water at every outlet — strong showers upstairs without pumps — and no loft tank. It requires an annual safety check, which we can combine with a boiler service.
The cylinder rumbles when heating — what is that?
Usually limescale on the immersion element or cylinder base, common in harder water areas. Addressed early it's inexpensive; left alone it shortens the cylinder's life.
