Radiators & heating controls
Radiators sized to the room, thermostatic valves fitted where they help, and controls — smart or simple — set up to suit how you live.
How it works
What happens when you book us.
Most comfort problems aren't the boiler — they're the radiators and controls around it. Rooms that never warm up, rooms that overheat, a thermostat in the wrong place. We size radiators to the room's actual heat loss, fit thermostatic valves where they'll make a difference, and balance the system so every room heats evenly — a step that's often skipped.
Assess the house
Which rooms run cold, which run hot, and where the thermostat lives — a short walk-through tells us most of what we need.
Size and recommend
Radiators sized to heat loss rather than wall space, TRVs where useful, and a controls recommendation based on your routine.
Fit and balance
Radiators and valves installed, then the system balanced so heat is distributed evenly across the house.
Set up controls
Controls installed and programmed with you, so the schedule matches your routine and you know how to adjust it.
Common questions
Asked about radiators & heating controls.
Are smart thermostats worth it?
If your routine varies, usually yes — heating an empty house is the biggest waste in most homes. If you keep regular hours, a good programmable thermostat does the job for less. We'll advise honestly for your situation.
One radiator is cold at the bottom — do I need a new one?
Usually not. Cold at the bottom typically means sludge, cold at the top means air. Bleeding or a system cleanse often resolves it — see our radiator guide before spending on new hardware.
Can you move a radiator to a different wall?
Yes — relocating radiators to suit furniture or a new layout is a common half-day job.
