Boiler repair
Faults diagnosed and repaired by a Gas Safe registered engineer, with the price agreed before any work starts and an honest opinion on repair versus replacement.
How it works
What happens when you book us.
When a boiler stops working, the error code alone rarely tells the whole story. If you let us know the make, model and code when you get in touch — a photo is ideal — we can usually narrow down the likely fault before we arrive, which means the right part on the van and fewer visits.
Tell us the symptoms
Make, model, error code and what the boiler is doing — no heating, no hot water, losing pressure or unusual noise. A photo or short video by text or WhatsApp helps.
Diagnosis
We identify the fault and explain it plainly: what has failed, why, and whether anything related is likely to follow.
Repair, or honest advice
If a repair makes economic sense we price it and carry it out. If the boiler's age means you'd be spending money on borrowed time, we'll say so and leave the decision with you.
Test
The boiler is run up to temperature and the system checked for leaks and stable pressure before we leave.
Common questions
Asked about boiler repair.
My boiler is showing an error code — should I turn it off?
Most fault codes simply lock the boiler out safely, so there's usually nothing you need to do. If you ever smell gas, call the National Gas Emergency line on 0800 111 999 first.
Is it worth repairing an older boiler?
As a rule of thumb, if the boiler is over 12–15 years old and the repair involves a major component, replacement is usually better value. We'll give you both prices and our honest view.
Do you repair boilers you didn't install?
Yes — most of the repairs we carry out are on boilers installed by others.
