Leaking & burst pipes

Call as soon as you spot it — we'll guide you through shutting off the water over the phone, then repair the pipe permanently and address the cause.

How it works

What happens when you book us.

With water leaks, speed matters twice: stopping the flow quickly, and fixing the cause so it doesn't recur. Whether it's a pinhole leak in copper, a weeping joint or a pipe that froze and split, we repair with proper materials and address whatever led to the failure — a frozen run gets insulated, a strained pipe gets supported.

  1. Stop the water — free, by phone

Call and we'll direct you to the stop tap and talk you through draining down before we've left the yard.

  2. Find the source

Water travels along joists and pipework before it shows. We trace the leak to the actual failure point before opening anything up.

  3. Permanent repair

Failed sections replaced and joints remade correctly — with the cause addressed, not just the symptom.

  4. Pressure test and advice

The system is refilled and checked under pressure. We'll also advise on drying out and whether the damage warrants an insurance claim.

Common questions

Asked about leaking & burst pipes.

Water is coming through the ceiling — what do I do first?

Stop tap off, cold taps open to drain the pipes, and if water is near light fittings, that lighting circuit off at the consumer unit. Then call us — photos help us bring the right fittings.

Will my insurance cover it?

Buildings insurance usually covers sudden escape-of-water damage, though often not the pipe repair itself. We can provide the description and photos your claim needs.

Why do pipes burst in winter?

Water expands as it freezes and splits the pipe; the leak appears at thaw. Insulating exposed runs in lofts and garages is inexpensive prevention we can do during any visit.
